10 Free Events in September

We not only want to help you find fun things to do but also understand AFFORDABLE activities are just as important to your family as they are to ours.  To help with that, each month we will feature a list of 10 FREE activities. Please be sure to click on the event and read all the information.  Enjoy!

September 3, 10, 17, 24:  Free Public Tours at Franconia
This is a kid’s fishing day tournament with the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.  Equipment provided and it’s free!

September 8:  Taco Daze
Scandia's annual celebration full of family fun!  Includes live music, activities for the kids, penny scramble for kids, parade, food and of course tacos!  Admission FREE (Tacos extra!)

September 8:  Library Legos at Rush City Public Library
Join instructor Mr. Tim to build amazing Lego creations!  Legos provided. 

September 8: STEM Saturday: Family Engineering Day at Hardwood Creek Library
Drop-in and explore three STEM stations.  Includes a team challenge great for families!  

September 10:  Pirate Storytime with Pop Up Library in Hugo
Pirate stories and much more!  Come in costume if you'd like!  They'll also be books you can check out at the end.

September 14 - 16:  Stagecoach Days
Family-friendly celebration with food, music, arts and crafts, inflatables, petting zoo, and more!  Admission and some activities are free!

September 15, 22, 23, 29 & 30: Music at the Orchard - Pleasant Valley Orchard
Live music at the apple orchard featuring a different band each day.  (Double check the times because they vary this month.)  

September 23: Bluegrass & Lemonade at Gammelgarden
Enjoy free lemonade and listen to great Bluegrass music!

September 24: Middle School Book Club
September's title is Refugee.  Discuss, participate in an activity and enjoy a snack!

September 27:   ECFE Baby Shower Ages 0-8 months
For you and your infant 0-8 months old.  Get to know ECFE, play and sing.  You'll get a packet of resources as well!
